Junior Varsity Girls basketball try outs will begin Monday at 5:30 pm and will continue Tuesday at 5:30 pm and Wednesday at 7:15 pm. Any grade 9-10 girls are welcome to try out.
Applications are open for the Verna J Kirkness Foundation Education Program. VJKF Program is for First Nations, Metis or Inuit students currently in grade 11 or 12 who are interested in a career in science. In this program you will get to travel with costs covered by the program to a Canadian University and experience University as a science student. You will work with masters and PhD students in the lab throughout the week, live on campus and get to explore the city you’re in. The application requires a 400 word essay on why you want to go or a 1-3 minute video, a reference letter from a science teacher or counsellor and an application filled out by you and your parents. Thank you to all our staff and students who participated in Spirit Week and Friday’s Gym Riot. This is our first gym riot since 2019 and it was a ton of fun and super competitive! A huge thank you to the members of Spirit Squad; Alayna, Aliya, Charly, Gaba, Paige, Sarah and Savannah for planning and hosting this week’s events.
