Last Grad Standing

Excitement filled the air of our high school as our seniors arrived on May 11, 2024 for our 2nd annual LAST GRAD STANDING! An exciting night filled with thrill. As our seniors got there, bags were checked to ensure the safety of everyone. No time was spared to start the fun as soon as possible and at 2pm the party started. Everyone nested and hid in their spots with some people lasting a minute and some lasting A WHOLE 4 HOURS.

The showdown in the forum of the last five people standing was exhilarating and energetic. But there can only be one winner right! This showdown left us with our last two Grads standing, Sneh Patel and Logan Cummings. With a dramatic shootout, Logan and Sneh took an aim at each other but only one survived. Logan Cummings won the 2nd annual Last Grad Standing winning a gift hamper filled with gift cards, slippers, blanket and a lot of other fun stuff.

As the night progressed, the energy remained high, with laughter and cheers echoing through the school. A Lot of activities were set up for the seniors including trivia with Mr. Paradis, movies were played on the big theater screen, board games were set up in the cafeteria, volleyball, basketball, badminton and high jump were set up in the gym, and the cafeteria was also turned into a big nerf war arena.

There was A LOT OF FOOD to feed our hungry grads. A big snack room was set up with meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, tons of different snacks, cookies and LOTS of pizza. Numerous donations were made to the school for the food and it was appreciated. While some called it a night and passed out on the giant gym mats, others decided “not today” and pulled all-nighters. There’s not many opportunities where you get to choose who’s desk or which corner of the school you want to sleep in but this is your lucky night where YOU GET TO PICK.

Everyone was woken up at 7:15am by, of course, Mr. Paradis yelling “GOOD MORNING” throughout the gym. Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage breakfast was served which was cooked by our very own staff. This night wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the efforts of Mr. Paradis, Ms. Sim, the student athletic council, and all the staff that lent a helping hand in arranging this marvelous and adventurous night. As the seniors packed up and prepared to leave, they carried with them not just the thrill of the chase, but the cherished moments spent with friends ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives. Can’t wait to see our grade 11s next LAST GRAD STANDING!!
